Itinerary

The umpteen varieties of spellbinding places in Srinagar have something in store for everyone. While the shimmering Dal Lake will offer you a surreal Shikara ride, the Mughal Gardens will please your senses with the sweet scent of its colorful flowers. As the Shankaracharya Temple will take you closer to spirituality   Dal Lake : It  is the prime attraction of Srinagar; that is why Dal Lake deserves the top position in the list of tourist places in Srinagar. The best view of Dal Lake can be enjoyed from boulevard road. It is one of the best and most picturesque lakes in Kashmir valley, surrounded by zabarban hills from three sides and embraced by numerous gardens and orchids along with its outer rings.   Nigeen Lake :  is located on the east side of the city, at the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountains. Though the thought of as a separate lake, the Nigeen Lake is an offshoot of the Dal Lake. They are only divided by narrow causeways, which allow only bikers and walkers; it also carries the water supply pipeline to the Srinagar city.The water of this lake is crystal clear that the reflection of the edging trees and hills of Shankaracharya (Takht-e-Suleiman) on the south and Hari Parbat on the west can be mirrored. The surrounding trees are mainly willow and poplar trees. The water in Nigeen Lake is good for swimming and there are fiberglass boats available. This lake gives a wholesome view of the ranges and the hills, and the pretty shikaras and houseboats flatter the sight even more.   Mughal Gardens :  are a group of gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, etc. All these gardens were constructed during the Mughal era in the style of Persian architecture, which is known as Mughal Gardens. Thousand of visitors come to Srinagar to visit the the Mughal Gardens and delight in the serene aura of these scenic gardens. Walking through the gardens brings out the essence of natural beauty. The group of Mughal Gardens included canals and fountains inside the park. Their style is based on the koranic concepts of paradise, significant in the use of layouts.   JAWAHARLAL NEHRU MEMORIAL BOTANICAL GARDEN : Built-in, in the memory of the well-known Jawaharlal Nehru, set up in 1969. The garden is strikingly covered with a large variety of trees and shrubs, and the colorful and exotic flowers add to its beauty. It is placed at the Zabarwan mountain range’s foothills and offers visitors a fantastic experience. Like Mughal Gardens, this one is also surrounded by the great Dal Lake, which enhances the location. The forest department has kept in mind to keep the garden maintained. On reaching the Botanical garden, you can see four more sections: the sporting garden, the research section garden, the botanical garden, and the center of plant introduction   Shankaracharya Temple  : in Srinagar is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It stands at the height of about 1852 m above sea level on the land on the top of Shankaracharya Hill. This temple is also famous for other names like Jyesteshwara temple or Pas-Pahar.  

TRIP: PLACES TO VISIT IN GULMARG  Nestled in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Western Himalayas at an elevation of 2,650m, Gulmarg is a small town and a notified area committee situated in the Baramulla District of the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Spread over an area of 180 square kilometres, this reserve is situated at an altitude ranging from 2,400 to 4,300 metres above sea level. The reserve is renowned for its rich and diverse flora and fauna, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and biodiversity.The reserve is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush green meadows, making it a perfect spot for photography. The best time to visit is from March to October when the weather is pleasant, and the reserve is in full bloom. Alpather lake : The picturesque water body is 13 kms from Gulmarg, on the foothills of the Apharwat Peaks. It is embraced by rocky-mountains and endless meadows that are covered with wildflowers.Owing to the breath-taking topography, the lakeside has become a favourite picnic spot amongst tourists. During winters, the lake remains frozen, and the surrounding fields get laden with snow. Strawberry valley: An ideal place for family picnic and picking fresh, sweet strawberries, this frame worthy valley offers the best views between the months of April and September. During the winters, guided treks and horseback rides are very popular here. Khilenmarg : When you visit Khilanmarg, you can expect stunning natural beauty and a tranquil atmosphere. The meadow is surrounded by lush green meadows, dense pine and fir forests, and towering mountains, creating a picturesque setting. During the spring and summer seasons, the meadow is adorned with colourful alpine flowers, making it a paradise for nature photography and leisurely walks. PLACES TO VISIT IN Pahalgam Pahalgam is a little different than other tourist destinations in Kashmir. While places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg are quite small in size, Pahalgam is comparatively bigger and spread over a larger area. The place remains open for tourists for all 12 months but the majority of its visitors arrive in late June, July, and early August. There is not much to see or do in Pahalgam itself, to be honest. Most of its primary tourist attractions are located at a distance of 8-10 kilometers from the main town. Pahalgam Golf Course : A Stunning Green Hamlet Surrounded by soaring pine trees and lofty mountains, this 18-hole golf course is snuggled at an altitude of 2400 metres above sea level and will captivate you with its unspoilt picturesque scenery.Golfing amidst the snow-clad mountain scenery, indulge in leisurely walks and spend some time marvelling at the scenic green vistas that you’ll see from here. It is a base camp for visitors trekking to Tulian Lake and also an eminent offbeat tourist destination. Baisaran offers picturesque views of the Pahalgam town & Lidder Valley.
